Call Recording Policy

Important information about call recording laws

Recording Laws Overview

In the United States, call recording laws vary by state. Some states require "one-party consent" (only one person on the call needs to know about the recording), while others require "two-party consent" (all parties must consent to the recording).

Two-Party Consent States

The following states require all parties to consent to call recording:

  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Florida
  • Illinois
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • Pennsylvania
  • Washington
